The library’s observation hives will be featured throughout a special speaker series held on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of May, June, and July.

Pickens County Library System – Summer Pollinator Series with 4-H

This summer, the Pickens County 4-H program is excited to partner with the Pickens County Library System to bring hands-on learning experiences centered around pollinators and beekeeping.

Guest speakers will explore a wide range of topics, from the importance of pollinators and the plants they depend on, to practical skills like building your own beehive box. These interactive sessions are designed to spark curiosity and deepen understanding of the vital role pollinators play in our environment.

Programs will rotate between library branches in Easley, Pickens, Central, and Liberty, offering multiple opportunities to attend throughout the summer. Speaker lineup is currently TBD.

Join us for this engaging series and discover the fascinating world of pollinators right here in Pickens County!

The Captain Kimberly Hampton Memorial Library is located in Easley, SC just off of Highway 123. This location serves as the headquarters for the Pickens County Library System. The facility features the largest reservable meeting space within the library system as well as a conference room, several smaller study rooms, a historical room and archives lab. Public computers and 24/7 wifi access are also available.
