Celebrate Save Your Photos Month by bringing up to 5 photos, slides, or documents to be scanned by library staff. Preserve your memories—and possibly contribute to our digital history collection!
In honor of Save Your Photos Month, the library is hosting a free community scanning event. Bring up to five photographs, slides, negatives, or documents, and library staff will digitize them for you. This is a great opportunity to preserve history and learn more about the importance of digital archiving. With your permission, scans may even be considered for inclusion in the library’s digital collections, helping us tell the story of Pickens County through the eyes of its residents.
This is a great opportunity to learn how to use our Archivist in a Backpack, digital preservation kits!
For ages 18+.
Registration opens September 2.
