Learn the basics of swing in this upbeat and welcoming beginner dance class.

Join Kellianne Floyd, Assistant Director of Outreach for SC Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities, in a Beginning Swing Dance class!  In this session, participants will learn basic swing dance steps and the background of how swing dance came to be.  Participants may even get a chance to work through a swing dance routine as an extension of learning the basics. 

Registration is required and opens July 31. For ages 18+. Call 864-850-7077 to sign up.

About the branch

The Captain Kimberly Hampton Memorial Library is located in Easley, SC just off of Highway 123.  This location serves as the headquarters for the Pickens County Library System. The facility features the largest reservable meeting space within the library system as well as a conference room, several smaller study rooms, a historical room and archives lab.  Public computers and 24/7 wifi access are also available.
