While there may be many skills a teen may need to know to get prepared for life on their own, these basic home economics skills taught over 7 sessions are indeed a great place to start:
1: Housekeeping/Home Maintenance/Laundry
2: Cooking, Meal Planning/Nutrition
3: First Aid Safety
4: Phone Etiquette/ Table Etiquette
5: Internet Safety
6: General Social Skills
Gain skills to meet personal challenges such as overcoming shyness, communicating clearly, building relationships, and avoiding violence.

Meeting Room
The Village Library is located on North Catherine Street in the county seat of Pickens. All library branches including the Village branch feature honeybee observation hives thanks to the support of Bee Well Honey, located in Pickens. A large meeting room, conference room, and study rooms are available as well as public computers and free wifi access.
