Summer Pollinator Series with 4-H

This summer, the Pickens County 4-H program is excited to partner with the Pickens County Library System to bring hands-on learning experiences centered around pollinators and beekeeping. The library’s observation hives will be featured throughout a special speaker series held on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of May, June, and July.
Guest speakers will explore a wide range of topics, from the importance of pollinators and the plants they depend on, to practical skills like building your own beehive box. These interactive sessions are designed to spark curiosity and deepen understanding of the vital role pollinators play in our environment.
Programs will rotate between library branches in Easley, Pickens, Central, and Liberty, offering multiple opportunities to attend throughout the summer. Speaker lineup is currently TBD.

Village Library
The Village Library is located on North Catherine Street in the county seat of Pickens. All library branches including the Village branch feature honeybee observation hives thanks to the support of Bee Well Honey, located in Pickens. A large meeting room, conference room, and study rooms are available as well as public computers and free wifi access.
