Clemson Extension Intern, Mac Barrett, will demonstrate how plants help keep our water clean and prevent erosion and teach children the journey of a water molecule! This program involves a short demonstration that will cover key vocabulary words, such as erosion, filtration, and the water cycle! Immediately following the demonstration, the children will get to play an interactive activity where they are a water molecule! They will roll die at various stations to collect beads for their bracelet that symbolize the various destinations of a water molecule! Only 20 slots are available so be sure to sign up ASAP. Call 898-5747. This is open to ages 5 and older (adult supervision for younger ages is recommended).
OUTSIDE
The Village Library is located on North Catherine Street in the county seat of Pickens. All library branches including the Village branch feature honeybee observation hives thanks to the support of Bee Well Honey, located in Pickens. A large meeting room, conference room, and study rooms are available as well as public computers and free wifi access.
